As recommended by the employer of Esfahan underground project, operations of passage of this tunnel under Zayandehrood River and construction and progress of the west tunnel of the middle Section of Esfahan subway by TBM model S-227 was started on March 11, 2009. Making the machine pass under Zayandehrood River and through installation of 203 rings and traveling cross the river by 285 m wide, this great national project was successfully completed by attempts of all professional experts and personnel in several shifts (even on Norouz Holidays) and led to successful passage of boring machine under the above river and construction of the tunnel.
